Find Fairtrade

Keswick is recognised as one of the country's leading centres of Fairtrade and was awarded Fairtrade Town status in March 2005. Cumbria received Fairtrade County status in March 2006. There are now 19 Fairtrade communities in the county and over 800 businesses supporting Fairtrade.

To help both local people and visitors to find out where Fairtrade products are available, we have produced a consumers' guide to Fairtrade in and around Keswick. This directory not only encourages businesses to support ethical trading, specifically through Fairtrade, but also encourages ethical purchasing from the consumer. Hard copies of the directory are available in the Tourist Information Centre in the Moot Hall, and we are currently putting all of the information onto this website.
