Watermill Café, Caldbeck

28 Jun Watermill Café, Caldbeck

160628_watermill_view2_300x225Set in a beautiful secluded positon on the riverbank just below St. Kentigern’s Church, in whose churchyard John Peel is buried. Priest’s Mill is an old watermill built by a Rector of Caldbeck in 1702. The Watermill Café occupies most of the early 18th century stone building. In summer we have an outdoor café terrace, overlooking the river; inside, in winter, a cosy log stove. Helen and her team prepare delicious fine food on the premises each day using only the best quality local produce available.  The choices range from Fairtrade teas, coffees and light refreshments to lunches and full meals.  We also hold regular dinner evenings.
