The Co-operative movement has long been at the forefront of promoting Fairtrade and has been very supportive of community-based Fairtrade campaigners too. Our local store – Lakes and Dales Co-op, which is part of the Scotmid Co-operative Group – is located in the centre of town and stocks a good range of Fairtrade produce.  All its bananas and sugars are now Fairtrade, as are many of its coffees, teas and chocolates.  They have an excellent range of Fairtrade wines, cake & Ice-creams including Fairtrade Vegan & Gluten Free products. They have an increasing range of Fairtrade Cakes and also Fairtrade Ice-cream – both Ben & Jerry’s and their own brand.

Co-op Community staff often help us & provide products such as Fairtrade Bananas & Chocolates for our Stalls & children’s activities.
